 User response cues and feedback

An important objective of many scenario based learning environments is to prompt students to reflect and think about specific aspects of the current situation as they work through the scenario.

For example:

  • What are the possible causes of the problem?
  • What are the options for making a more precise diagnosis?

As the author of a SBLi scenario, you can implement this prompting process through the scenario by inserting multiple-choice or short answer questions to which the user has to respond.

Feedback to this response can then be provided either immediately or once the user has come to the end of the scenario.
